Connie Las Schneider, retired to Johnson County from the metropolitan Chicago area five years ago, where she worked as a print journalist, editor, graphic artist, public relation's consultant, accountant and Montessori teacher. A city-bred workaholic, Connie bored quickly of the leisure life so she took up quilting, became a reporter for the Ozark Spectator, started playing the fiddle and went back to college, which is free for seniors living in Arkansas. Now Connie is pursuing her latest literary passion; feature writing for About magazine. Connie lives in Hartman with her husband, Bob Schneider. They have five grown children and four grandchildren, all living in other states.
